2. What We Propose

The Jinji Tennis Training Program for Elementary Schools in Japan is quite simple to implement:
To add the program to your school's curriculum, all you need to do is provide Jinji with a place to conduct lessons, whether at a school tennis court, a gymnasium or other suitable facility. You also need to provide proper student guardianship.
Jinji provides the rest:
- professional tennis coaches who teach proven techniques for effective tennis learning
- two years experience teaching children at the Tokyo International School
- world-class tennis equipment provided by Yonex, Co., Ltd.
- the flexibility to customize a plan that's ideal for your school and students
The Jinji Method
Jinji Tennis Center has a methodology for mind-body-spirit development through a set of tennis exercises designed to help each individual achieve his or her own personal goals. At Jinji, we recognize that every individual is unique, and that makes the Jinji method attractive to everyone—from beginners, to seasoned tennis players, to serious athletes.
The Jinji method is especially suited to the needs of young children, aged 6-12 years, the critical years of physical and mental development.
Elementary School Program
The Jinji Tennis Center elementary school program provides an innovative way of teaching methods not found in typical school curriculums. Courses are dedicated to stimulating the imagination and intellectual capacity of each child.
We engage in a level of natural communication with kids that encourages them to communicate well with each other. We teach them important values such as curiosity, independence, cooperation and commitment. These are values that we hold in high regard at Jinji Tennis Center, in addition to respect, empathy, integrity and tolerance.
The Jinji after-school tennis program is a great way to let each child build on his or her natural enthusiasm for athletics. And by using different motor skills, we can help them develop and improve their athletic attributes. By watching and listening, children are able to develop their skills in movement, control and coordination. Through group sessions children learn to become more interactive while improving self-confidence.
The History of Jinji
"Friend." That's what the word Jinji means in Hebrew. Founded in 2002 by Shai Gigi, an Israeli citizen living in Japan, Jinji Tennis Center started out with a goal to educate children from ages 6 to 12. In late 2004 we started an after school program at Tokyo International School, which helped us achieve another goal of coaching kids from around the world in a very fun and constructive way.
Jinji Staff Devotion
Jinji Tennis Center is the only international tennis school in Tokyo that teaches every lesson with 2-3 professional coaches, including both foreign and Japanese coaches. The number of students per lesson is limited to 15.
Also, Japanese staff members strongly support activity and communication between coaches and students. We believe that we should devote an appropriate amount of time and focus to students, so that their tennis experience will be as effective as possible.

Professional Tennis Equipment
Jinji Tennis Center is the only international tennis school in Tokyo with a program for schools that is supported by Yonex, a global brand and the top tennis equipment company in Japan. It was Jinji's goals and objectives that motivated Yonex to sponsor our entire elementary school program by providing the tennis rackets and other equipment needed to meet your students' needs..
Even if your school does not have its own tennis facilities, Jinji can customize a program to accommodate any available space your school may have available (such as gymnastic hall or any nearby tennis courts), or we can even arrange to teach weekends or at other locations that Jinji regularly uses.
Jinji's Long-term Perspective
Jinji is working to a strategic plan designed to ensure the steady improvement of each student's physical and mental well-being. We don’t just teach inside the school, but also support interschool activities. We strive to train students to represent their schools in tennis tournaments that Jinji is currently planning for late 2006. These and all other inter-school matches are what make the quality of Jinji's tennis lessons distinctive.
Jinji Tennis Center's main goals are as follows:
- To interlink our tennis program with your school’s curriculum and set up a suitable coaching regime that is perfectly fitted to your institutions and student body.
- To train your students to represent your school in an international "kids tennis cup" coordinated by Jinji.
- To discover, train and support future professional tennis players who just may be students in your school!
Jinji will prepare variations customized to meet the unique needs of your school while ensuring the safety of your students. We believe that your school’s aim and Jinji's aim are the same: Kids having a great physical and mental educational experience in a safe environment.
What's more, the Jinji system is designed to deal directly with each student for managerial purposes. This means that your school personnel need not prepare and manage any special documentation, or deal with the responsibilities of handling money, or engage in other time-consuming administrative activities.
It’s a convenience Jinji Tennis Center provides as a service. Moreover, it's a huge benefit for both your school and your students.
